Add Your Blog To Your Social Bookmarking Accounts

You should have already created an account at Del.icio.us,---Furl ----http://www.technorati.com/ ---http://www.stumbleupon.com/ ---http://www.digg.com ----And http://www.fark.com Thesesites are social bookmarking sites. Basically, instead of storing your own favorite websites within the favorites section of your own browser, you can store them online, and also share them with other people. The sites that provide this service are free, and have better features than the bookmarking features of your browser. Millions of people now use these social bookmarking sites.

These services are great for us because we can use them to generate traffic to our sites.

Login to your Del.icio.us accounts and simply add your blog address to your bookmarks. You will need to add a title, as well as the web address. When you have logged in at Del.iciou.us, you need to select the "post" link which is located middle top.
When you create your Del.icio.us account, you will have your own unique page which is accessable to everyone. In other words, you can let other people see your bookmarks. Here is my personal bookmarking page, with the bookmark I just added:
Now here is another excellent little tip that you should implement after creating your bookmark. Go to Pingomatic and ping your social bookmarking page. What is the benefit in this? Well, as I explained before, when you ping your site, you are essentially sending out a broadcast notice to various blog search engines, which in turn will send out the search engine indexing bots to your site. The common search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN will eventually find your site. This is another way to give exposure to your website or blog.
