Give them just a taste of the sweet stuff so that they will want to follow your link to your website.

Just like the headline, give them power-packed words, but not too many of them. Give a BRIEF synopsis of why your product or service is what they want and what distinguishes it from the many other products and services listed in the classified ads.You can post your ad in one of the ‘biggies’ like Craigslist and you can choose a niche market classified system. Always familiarize yourself with the rules of the system and follow them to the letter. Otherwise you may be dropped and you will lose this marketing avenue.

1. Post a catchy title and a slightly verbose description for your classified ads to grab
readers’ attention with keywords.
2. The classified ads title should be between 5-8 words and the description should be
between 50-100 words. Ensure to make your classified ad description a detailed one
and it includes keywords. However, be very careful about keyword stuffing. The
search engine spiders will detect this infraction and most likely penalize your SERP.
3. Prepare short and simple body text of the ads, of not more than 25 words irrespective
of the words that you are allowed to use. This should be done with the intention to
arouse interest and end with a call for action.
4. Follow the KISS formula (keep it simple stupid) really works well as a tool for writing
classified ads. Your business offer should be to sell itself, once the reader takes the
very next step and "clicks on through" to the "sales driven" web page.

5. The most common mistake is posting to a wrong category and in all caps.
6. Giving wrong information, bragging or boasting about the products.
7. The products advertised in question are not price tagged.
8. Using foul language or post obscene pictures.
9. Over-posting of a particular classified ad.
10. Posting too many items in one classified ad.
