How To Use Individual Tools And Resources Collectively To Create Traffic Generation Strategies

In the previous exercises, I asked you to do numerous tasks, including choosing a niche topic, creating a blog, writing and submitting an article, doing some social bookmarking, writing a press release and writing a classified ad.

Samyroumieh, you might have been thinking, "My Three Billion Messages Daily, what are all these cumbersome and tiresome tasks you are making me do, I thought I was supposed to be making money", and I would answer, "Understanding comes to those who wait."

I want you to take a look at the diagram below, and I am going to explain it further.

 

The previous tasks that I set you were to get you used to some of the tools and resources that can be used to implement traffic generating strategies. These strategies have a two-fold purpose:

• To get you visitors directly (when they click through to your site from an article, press-release, forum posts, additional blogs etc.)
• To get you visitors through the search engines by increasing your rankings therein.

The aim is to create a structure that funnels traffic back to your "money page". So what I do when I launch a new project (a new site or blog for example), is that I plan out on a piece of paper what I am going to do, and what structure I am going to create around my site. I have a selection of keywords from my niche topic that I will use to link from one element to the other. I always vary the keywords in the link text - this is good for search engines.

Once I have it planned out on paper (just like the diagram above), I then get to work creating that structure. Once you get used to it, and once you become familiar with some automation methods (which I will touch upon in later lessons), it will take you only a short time to creating these link structures.

You link structure does not have to be arranged like that in the diagram above. You can devise your own. One thing you have to understand is that you have to spend more time on the promotion and marketing of your product or service, than on actually creating your product or service in the first place. What you are trying to do is create "momentum" in the direction of your money site. By momentum I mean linkage. The more momentum towards your site - the more traffic you will get from the search engines. Look at this diagram:
